Here are a few quick updates and announcements from our Sunday, October 11th, Glass Artists of Colorado meeting.
There’s a new quarterly publication called Fused Glass Magazine, created to celebrate the art, creativity, and community of fused glass!
Available in both print and digital formats, it’s a welcoming resource for everyone, from beginners to experienced artists sharing their knowledge and expertise. Each issue is packed with inspiration, techniques, stories, and a whole lot of love for this amazing craft.
Built by the community, for the community, it’s a place where learning, creativity, and community come together. If you fuse glass, admire glass, or dream in color, this magazine is for you!
Four issues for $59.00.
For more information, visit www.fusedglassmagazine.com.
We still have eight open work shifts on the Echter’s schedule. If you’re willing and able, we would really appreciate your signing up for an extra shift to help fill those spots. I’ve attached the latest work schedule for you to check out.
The deadline to sign up for Echter’s is tomorrow, October 15th! If you haven’t submitted your application yet, please get it to Sandi Penfound ASAP.
Deborah distributed the postcards, which, by the way, came out beautifully! Anita also emailed a digital postcard to 328 email addresses we collected through our raffles. Let’s hope it brings in lots of shoppers! I have attached an "electronic" postcard, so please, feel free to share with whomever you wish.
One other item discussed: For this year’s raffle, it was suggested and agreed that we ask each participating artist for one nicer glass donation rather than several unwanted items or pieces that aren’t our best work. Let’s make this year’s raffle something special!
One more reminder..... bring your business cards and have them available on your table!
Registration for the Annual Glass Expo opened today! If you’re serious about attending, keep in mind that classes fill up quickly, so don’t wait too long to register.
Dates: March
29 – April 4, 2027
Location: South Point Hotel, Las
Vegas, Nevada
Website: https://www.glasscraftexpo.com/
Our next meeting will be Sunday, December 13th, at 1:00 p.m. at Deborah Carlson’s house.
This will be a short business meeting followed by our Annual Christmas Party!
Please bring a dish to share and a nice gift for our Secret Santa game. Come ready for some good food, good company, and a little Christmas fun!
That’s all for now. Keep creating, keep sharing, and keep making beautiful things!
Keep on Being Glassy!
